Waffle knit traps air in its honeycomb, which is why a 260 gsm top feels as warm as a 400 gsm jersey. Three corozo buttons at the neck, long sleeves with a plain cuff, and a body cut to tuck. It is the thing to wear under the flannel shirts in winter and on its own the rest of the year.
Waffle shrinks more than flat jersey on its first wash - about 4% - and then stops. We cut every piece long for it. It also snags on rough edges; the honeycomb is a lot of little loops.
